Best Year Yet - 2014!

For as long as I can remember, I've been an avid maker of goals for myself. Goals about everything and anything ranging from personal to financial to spiritual to health and wellness. I used to anticipate ringing in the New Year so I could make myself an updated vast list of resolutions that resembled more of my wish list to Santa than anything else.

We've all been there, done that and try hard we might, most, if not all of us fail. That's always how the story goes. We go to the gym for all of two weeks and then stop going even though we're still paying for it each month. We eat healthy all of a few days until we decide to delve back into the left over Christmas chocolates, or we do yoga all of five minutes until we realize our favourite show is on and the couch is much more inviting. The point is, whatever our New Years resolutions, they get forgotten and left behind. By February we're back to our regular selves....whatever that is.

This year, I'd like to  make it more simple for myself and not make an extensive list. I'd like to suggest that 2014 is THE BEST YEAR YET... Just that simple. Because if each passing year is our best year yet, we can only look back at ourselves and be proud of all the things we've accomplished, big or small. We can celebrate the small changes we've made, or the great big leaps of faith we've had to make. We can be proud of who we are and how we've grown in the past year without having the feeling of having failed ourselves and all our grandiose resolutions we'd made in January.

So raise your glass and let's toast to a wonderful New Year ahead of us that's going to be filled with new memories, new experiences, new friends and everything in between!

Bisou!

What To Do In Edmonton

Hello everyone!

Do you ever find yourself looking for something to do here in Edmonton? Are you drawn to West Edmonton Mall more often than you would like. Well you have come to the right place! We must confess that at one point we had that exact same attitude. And after experiencing some of the great cities in Canada and the United States it is hard to think that our very own Edmonton is a booming centre of culture. Now we can't say that you'll be able to go downtown at 7:00 pm and find something to do on any given day. Because until something magical happens, like the arena gets built, businesses just aren't open that late. But there are many different options available that we want to share with you.

Alongside our fashionable posts we want to inform you on all the cool and exciting places and events we have discovered so that you can get out of that mall grind and start hitting the streets to experience the culture of Edmonton.

Check back soon for more event filled posts that will begin to get you out of your leisurely rut and help you to discover something new.

Ladies Fall Essentials

I have been wishing for fall for a bit already. Some of you are probably wanting to smack me and ask what's wrong but I can't help it. I absolutely love fall! I love layering clothes, yet not having to wear a big bulky winter jacket just yet. I love the colours, from my closet to the gorgeous outdoors during the few week window where all the trees have turned amazing colours. And last but certainly not least, I get to finally bust out my boots! All this said, and I'm wondering why it's still in the 20's outside! I guess September doesn't actually mean fall has arrived, but it'll be here soon enough.

I have wandered the mall more than I can count lately since it offers endless entertainment and new things for the baby to see and well... the exact same for me! I have pick out for you this seasons must have pieces on a budget so all you moms or students out there can share the joy of looking fabulous, in style and not completely broke.

The 6 Basics Every Man Needs

As the school year begins many people are busy shopping and preparing for the year ahead. Whether you will be cracking a textbook or not, giving your wardrobe some thought is essential!

The way a person dresses ultimately says a lot about who he is. If you take some time and thought into what you are clothing yourself with people will take notice. So have some pride and dress the part.

Once upon a time it was acceptable to wear skater shoes, baggy jeans and a ratty t-shirt. Now you don't need to dress to the nines every day of the week, but trading up those sweatpants and flipflops for a nice pair of chinos and some stylish shoes WILL take you from the everyday run of the mill student to the big man on campus!

And for those of you who won't have your nose buried in a book this semester there is still something here for you that will help you evolve your wardrobe this fall.

I'm here to give you the basics every man needs in their closet to take you from those teenage days long gone to a well dressed gentlemen who means business!
